Make a weekend of Poole with a whole-house stay for family or friends. The Mariners combines Old Town evenings with harbour outings, without packing everyone into separate hotel rooms.
Arrive, settle in and head out
Check-in is from 3pm, with arrival arrangements confirmed before your stay. Settle into the four bedrooms, then choose dinner in Old Town or cook in the kitchen. The Guildhall Tavern is on Market Street and The Angel next door is an option for drinks. Check opening times and reservations directly; local businesses are independently operated.
Give Saturday room to unfold
Poole Quay is a short walk away for harbour views and boat departures. Choose a sightseeing cruise or plan a separate Brownsea Island visit, checking seasonal sailings first. If the beach is your priority, Sandbanks is reached by road from Old Town. You can also keep the day local with the museum, shops and a leisurely meal.
Two nights or a little longer
The minimum stay is two nights, with checkout by 10am. A Friday-to-Sunday stay is one option, but dates do not have to follow a fixed weekend pattern. Add a night if you want more time to explore. Send your dates for a full quote, since peak weekends and bank holidays can differ from the seasonal starting rates.
Know the details before you book.
The Mariners is at 24 Market Street, Poole Old Town. Standard beds are two superkings, a double and a bunk bed across four bedrooms. Requests for alternative sleeping arrangements must be agreed in advance and never increase the eight-guest maximum.
Whole-house rates start from £275 per night September–April and £385 per night May–August. July–August Friday and Saturday nights are £595; Christmas, New Year, Easter and bank holidays are quoted separately. Cleaning and laundry are £160 per booking. One dog may stay by prior agreement for £30. Ask about discounts for stays of more than seven nights.
The booking deposit is 25%, with the balance due six weeks before arrival, or full payment for bookings made within six weeks. A separate £300 refundable damage deposit applies. Your full quote, dates, any additional services and cancellation terms must be agreed before payment. An enquiry does not secure dates.
Check-in is from 3pm and checkout by 10am. The house has stairs, one parking space on request and a central location that can be lively. Parties and events are not permitted.
