Arrange a fishing weekend with friends and stay together at The Mariners. Poole Quay is a short walk from the house, with fishing operators offering their own trips and charter arrangements.
Choose a skipper and the right trip
Our local guide includes Sea Fishing Poole, Silver Spray Charters and Danny Boy 2. Contact the operator for current departures, tackle, bait, experience requirements and boat capacity. A Quay-based trip is different from hiring the house: accommodation and fishing are separate bookings, and no place aboard a boat is included in your stay.
Work the stay around the sailing
Check the departure point and reporting time before confirming your nights. A two-night break can give you time to settle in before an early start, with your own kitchen for breakfast. Weather and sea conditions may change or cancel a trip. Discuss the operator’s terms directly; cancellation of an activity does not automatically cancel your accommodation booking.
Agree catch and equipment arrangements
Share the number of anglers and separate beds needed when you enquire. The maximum is eight guests, and the four-bedroom layout includes shared double beds and bunks. Ask about tackle and any catch before bringing them into the house. Fish-cleaning facilities, bait storage and catch-freezing space are not promised, and boats or trailers cannot be assumed to fit the single parking space.
Know the details before you book.
The Mariners is at 24 Market Street, Poole Old Town. Standard beds are two superkings, a double and a bunk bed across four bedrooms. Requests for alternative sleeping arrangements must be agreed in advance and never increase the eight-guest maximum.
Whole-house rates start from £275 per night September–April and £385 per night May–August. July–August Friday and Saturday nights are £595; Christmas, New Year, Easter and bank holidays are quoted separately. Cleaning and laundry are £160 per booking. One dog may stay by prior agreement for £30. Ask about discounts for stays of more than seven nights.
The booking deposit is 25%, with the balance due six weeks before arrival, or full payment for bookings made within six weeks. A separate £300 refundable damage deposit applies. Your full quote, dates, any additional services and cancellation terms must be agreed before payment. An enquiry does not secure dates.
Check-in is from 3pm and checkout by 10am. The house has stairs, one parking space on request and a central location that can be lively. Parties and events are not permitted.
